Detroit Zoo, February 2006


 


Marian had some comp time to take so we went to the zoo on a Friday. It was snowing a little and after being opened for 90 minutes, 6 groups had entered the park! So hardly anyone was there! First, we went to see the butterflies. T

Next we went to the bird house which is attached to the butterfly house. It was pretty dark in here so I didn't take many pictures.

We saw about 6 Trumpeter swans.

Next, we saw the bald eagles.


  


  


  


  


And there was a wild Turkey Vulture sharing some of the Eagle's food.

This guy is pretending to be asleep.


  


The polar bears were fighting over a piece of wood.
