Zhender's Snowfest 2005, February 2005

The Snowfest turned into a "Slushfest" this year with record breaking high temperatures. It was 43° when we went on Saturday. The high temperatures caused more problems too. The Bavarian Inn has a series of fields were they normally have overflow parking. With all the snow melting and the unfrozen ground, no one could park in the fields. This caused a real parking shortage. The snow and ice sculptures were melting too. Most of the detail work had melted off and 5-10 percent of the sculptures had partially fallen down. Still, there were many interesting sculptures and as usual, the chicken dinner was great.
