Beartooth Highway,
Yellowstone National Park, May 2004

The Beartooth Highway is just outside of Yellowstone along the Northeast entrance. It's a national scenic byway and is rated as one of the most beautiful highways in the United States. We were disappointed (based on all the hype that we read before the trip). The highway is pretty but we didn't think it compared to Utah's Highway 12 (going from Capitol Reef National Park to Boulder, UT) or Colorado's Highway 550 (from Durango to Montrose).
