On the way, we stopped at Jack Miner's Bird Sanctuary only to find that it's
closed on Sundays.
There's a field by the entrance to the Bird Sanctuary with hundreds of Canada
Geese.
They also had some cages by the fence with unusual birds.
This is by the entrance to Pt. Pelee. We came to the park at the wrong time. In
May, over 150 bird species migrate through the park and in September,
butterflies and birds migrate through the park.
The 42nd parallel runs through the park. Pt. Pelee is the furthest south that
Canada goes. It is equivalent to Northern California!
One of the old locals posed for us.
This is the point. It's not much to see right now. I believe that it's high
tide. By the way, that is Lake Erie in the background.
In September, Monarch Butterflies are here by the thousands.
But not like in Mexico!
The point has changed through the years.
Marshville is a boardwalk that goes through the wet lands. There's a 3 stories
tower to aid in looking for the birds.
