Little Wild Horse Slot Canyon, May 2003

Little Wild Horse Slot Canyon is located about 40 miles east of Capitol Reef. It's on the same road as Goblin State Park and is about 4 miles from the park. It's located on BLM land.

As you drive up to the entrance, you have no idea that a slot canyon is near.

You walk down a dry gulley.

And suddenly you get a hint of what's to come.

Because the river bed goes under the rock here, you actually need to climb up and over into the canyon.

The canyon just gets narrower.
