Utah Highway 12,
Between Torrey and Escalante, May 2003

   Highway 12 is a national scenic highway. It is considered the best too! The highway wasn't finished until the 1950s (I'm not sure of the date). The road was extremely expensive to build because of the rough terrain.

These pictures were all taken from the side of the road.

The road drops off on both sides.

The high point of the road is at over 10,000 feet and there was still snow.
