Hell's Backbone Road, May 2003

Hell's Backbone road was the first road that reached Boulder, Utah. The road winds through forests and the peaks of mountains. The Hell's Backbone Bridge wasn't completed until 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. at which time, automobiles could finally make the trip.

I was disappointed with the bridge and the gap that it covers. From the descriptions that I had read, I expected the gap that the bridge spans to be wide or the drop off great.
