This is the Bright Angel Trail.

The right-hand part of the rock is completed split.

The Orphan Mine is a uranium mine located right on the edge of the Canyon. The mine was active until 1987. Originally, the property was a copper mine set up just before the park was opened. Later the site hosted a resort. In 1951 uranium was found by an amateur prospector. It was one of the highest quality uranium mines in the Southwest.

This is looking straight down. You can see some of the equipment used to haul the ore up the wall.

Watchtower Inn is at Desert View.

Tusayan Ruins are located at the eastern end of the park.
