Dead Horse Point State Park

This is a small park with a fantastic lookout. It was featured in many old westerns. Often, a cowboy or Indian would be shot and fall into the canyon.

There is a 4-wheel drive trail that leads up to the lookout through the canyon. It has spectacular views but is a really difficult drive. You can see some of the roads in this picture.

This is a phosphate mining operation.
