Deer in field, Capital Reef

On one of the side roads, we saw some mule deer in a field. We took some pictures and stood there and watched them. They slowly approached us and came within 40 feet from us. Here, there is a third deer laying down to the left and below the other two deer.

You can barely see the fawns in the grass.

They used a counterweight to balance the gate.

He's wary of us.

He's getting up. He'll probably be gone in a minute.

False alarm. He just wants some company.
