| Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge | U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service | Has habitat reflective of the historic Great Black Swamp. A collection of marshes, wooded wetlands, scrub/shrub, meadows, and an estuary comprise the refuge today and preserves its' cultural history. It is a resting area for migratory birds and home to the bald eagle. The Refuge is also home to many mammals such as white-tailed deer, muskrats, and mink.
